Vamus (Eva) Roue 87 – Quarteira Bus Station to Loulé

To get from Vilamoura to Loulé by bus, you need to get to the Quarteira Bus Station (Vilamoura to Quarteira bus) and take bus route 87 to Loulé. There are a couple of stops between the Quarteira Bus station and Vilamoura, if you decide to walk these are much closer to Vilamoura. The Eva buses have now rebranded and are called Vamus – use the interactive map on their website or app.

You can find the map, schedule and other info here. Choose route 87, origin 906 (Quarteira Bus station) and destination 942 (Loulé Bus station) to get the complete route. Then you can click on each flag to see corresponding stop. Below is a screenshot of the map.

Most tourists will visit Loulé on a Saturday to visit the Loulé Markets, note there are less buses on weekends. You will need to catch the 8.30am or 10.30am bus from Quarteira as the markets close at 2pm.

Private Loulé Tour: Markets, Winery and City Tour

Another option to visit Loulé is with a tour. The Private Loulé Tour is a full-day tour combining two of the most popular attractions in Loulé, the Municipal Market and Quinta da Tôr Vineyards. Operated by a local agency this fun, cultural tour is available all year round. During the morning you will tour around Loulé. An hour is reserved for the beautiful historic Municipal Market and some shopping. Lunch is included in a typical Portuguese restaurant. After lunch, you will be picked-up and taken to the vineyards for a pool side wine tasting session. Return to Vilamoura at about 5pm.
