Falesia Beach- Praia da Falésia

Vilamoura Marina is flanked on either side by two magnificent beaches. To the west of the Marina is the Praia da Falésia Beach and on the opposite side the Praia da Marina Beach or Vilamoura Beach. What is commonly referred to as the Falesia Beach is actually a group of beaches including Praia da Rocha Baixinha Nascente, Praia da Rocha Baixinha Poente, Praia da Falésia, Praia dos Tomates, Praia do Poço Velho and Praia do Barranco das Belharucas.

Where is Falesia Beach

The Falesia Beach is located in the Algarve between Vilamoura and Albufeira, it stretches for 6km from the Vilamoura Marina to Olhos d’Água in Albufeira. This magnificent beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Fine golden sand, turquoise sea and dramatic red cliffs make the perfect backdrop for some amazing pictures.

How to get to Falesia Beach from Vilamoura

Falesia Beach in the Winter

The Praia da Falesia Beach during the winter months is a popular beach for locals, especially during weekends. As long as the sun is out you’ll find plenty of people on this beach during winter.

Dogs are permitted on the beaches in the Algarve until the bathing season starts and coast fishing is also allowed (you need a licence though).

Walking, jogging, surfing, cycling and fishing are a few other activities that are popular here.

Sea temperatures are a bit too cold for swimming during the winter but you can get a nice sun tan even in the winter.
