Hop on Hop off Tour Bus
The City Sightseeing Bus is an open-top bus that runs daily in Vilamoura (Blue Line) and Albufeira (Red Line), hop-on and off at any of the 45 stops along the route.
The 24-hour ticket is valid for 2 days as this bus does not run at night. Places of interest include Albufeira Old Town, the beaches (Oura, St Eulalia, Pescadores, São Rafael and more), Albufeira Marina and the Pau da Bandeira viewpoint.

Delgaturis Train Trip
Not exactly a Vilamoura day trip but still fun. This quirky train takes you around the resort during 50min from the Marina to the golf courses, Old Village and Falésia Beach.
If you’re staying further from the centre you can use the train to get to the Falésia beach or Marina. Purchase the weekly travel ticket. Especially worthwhile during July and August as the train runs from 10am to 8pm daily.

Vilamoura to Gibraltar Tour
Visit ‘The Rock’ on a bus tour from the Algarve. Join a local tour and see the famous landmarks, the wild monkeys or breathtaking views from the top of the Rock. The Saint Michael Caves and Europa Point are also great sites to visit.
Shopping is duty-free and Euros or Pounds are accepted. Respect the duty-free allowances as they are really strict when re-entering Spain. Gibraltar is 410km away so expect a long journey (5 hours each way).
Vilamoura to Seville Tour
Visit the beautiful Spanish town of Seville with its impressive historical sites.
One of the top sights is the Real Alcazar, classified as UNESCO world heritage and used as a setting for Games of Thrones. Fans of the series will recognise the Water Gardens of Dorne.
Seville Cathedral is the 4th largest in the world and a must see in Seville.
Plaza de España another famous landmark was used as a setting in Star Wars.
Seville is just over 200km away and the journey should take about 3 hours.
Vilamoura to Fátima Tour
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima is located in central Portugal, 340km from Vilamoura. It is one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage sites in the world. Pilgrims, devotees and tourists make up the 4+ millions annual visitors to the Shrine.
The anniversary of the first apparition 13th of May is the most important date for pilgrims.
The bus tour to Fátima is a long ride but this is the easiest way to visit. There are no direct buses or trains from Vilamoura.

Vilamoura to Lisbon Tour
Visiting the capital of Portugal is another popular day trip in Vilamoura. History, culture and shopping in Lisbon.
Points of interest include the Belem monument, Jerónimos Monastery and town centre.
Most tours will give you about 4 hours in Lisbon to explore and plenty of free time to shop.
Private Loulé, Market and Wine Tasting Tour
This private day trip combines a Loulé town visit, Loulé Municipal Market and Tôr Vineyards wine tasting.

Costa Vicentina Tours
