The Casino de Vilamoura is one of three casinos in the Algarve managed by the Sol Verde Group. This mid-sized casino overlooks the Vilamoura Beach and is located right next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, a very short walk from the Marina.

Miralago: The Miralago Hall with a magnificent view over Vilamoura can seat up to 500 people. This is where you can enjoy a silver service and live performance any day of the week. The show and set menu dinner is very good value (usually about €40 per person) and one of the most popular attractions in Vilamoura. You can also purchase tickets for just the show. Royal: This elegant restaurant is usually reserved for functions and has a capacity for 200 seats.
Baccarat Restaurant: is situated on the gaming floor overlooking the slot machines. Very reasonably priced a la carte menu.
Big Bar: The Big Bar marks the center of the casino and from here you can access all the different areas. Ample seating area and wide selection of beverages.
Dice Nightclub (former Blackjack Vilamoura)
The Dice Nightclub (formally Blackjack) is an elegant bar and disco located within the casino. The club is independently managed and received an extensive refurbishment under the current management.

Dresscode
Dress code is casual – no beachwear, sportswear or open shoes are allowed. In other words, jeans and a t-shirt are acceptable, flip-flops and swimming shorts, not so much.

- Winter from 4pm to 4am.
Age Limit
You must be over 18 years old to enter the casino. Photo ID is mandatory (Portuguese law not casino policy).
Location and Contacts
Vilamoura Casino is located on Vilamoura Beach between the Vila Gale Ampalius Hotel and the Crown Plaza. Access to the casino is via Avenida Tivoli (you cannot enter from the beach side). There is a large secure parking area.
Vilamoura Casino Policies
- Photo ID at entrance is a mandatory, it is actually Portuguese law and valid for all casinos;
- No electronic devices on the gaming floor and yes this includes phones, check with staff and security where you are allowed to use your phone;
- Casinos are one of the few indoor venues where smoking is still permitted, the Vilamoura Casino has both smoking and non-smoking areas. During 2020 and 2021 and due to COVID restrictions, all smoking was banned indoors. This policy will be maintained while mask usage is mandatory. There is an outdoor area available for smokers.

Other Casinos in the Algarve
Solverde operates two more casinos in the Algarve, Casino de Portimão and Casino de Monte Gordo. Vilamoura Casino is the largest and most popular of the three. This group also operates their own online site which is only available to Portuguese residents, you must have a Portuguese fiscal number to play online.
How to Play Banca Francesa
Banca Francesa is played on a semi-circle shaped table divided in 4 sections: Aces, Pequeno (small and the numbers 5, 6, 7), Grande (big and the numbers 14, 15, 16) and the Arena (where the dice are thrown). The game is really quite simple.
What is the objective of this game?
The objective is to correctly predict the result of the three dice rolled.
How to play
Players bet on the result of the three dice roll in the following manner:
Grande (Big) – Bets are placed in the interior section and the sum of the three dice must be 14, 15 or 16 to win;
Pequena (Small) – Bets are placed on the exterior section and the sum of the three dice must be 5, 6 or 7 to win.;
Ases (Aces) – all three dice must land on 1, i.e. the sum is 3.
Grande or Pequeno Line – for betting half the value
Payouts
- Big or Small is 1:1
- Aces is 61:1
- Big/Small line payout is half of bet
There are 216 possible outcomes but only 63 will decide the result in Banca Francesa.
All the other possible outcomes of the sum of the three dice are considered null and the dice are rolled until one of the big, small or aces results are achieved. You can alter your bets after each null round.
