Motorcycle and scooter rental
A motorcycle or scooter is probably one of the best ways to get around Vilamoura in the Summer.
Traffic and parking is a bit of a nightmare during peak season, so consider hiring a motorbike or scooter to get to the beach or exploring the area.
An e-bike is also a good alternative if you have kids, and Vilamoura is extremely bike friendly. More on e-bikes here.
Quad Bikes Tours
Vilamoura is not exactly the perfect location for a quad bike adventure, you really need to travel to a rural setting for this activity. Nevertheless, this is one of the most popular tours and great fun.
These tours are usually available all year round and some offer hotel pick-ups in Vilamoura.

Segways
Segways are very easy to ride and good fun. The Segway tours are a unique way to experience Vilamoura and Quarteira or other destinations like the Ria Formosa.
The Vilamoura tour consists of a 90 minute guided tour along the seaside. There will be plenty of time for some shopping and some great photo opportunities.
The segways are very easy to use but check weight or age restrictions for children when booking.
Go Karting near Vilamoura
The Karting Almancil Family Park is only about a 15 minute drive from Vilamoura. The park has various tracks and karts suitable for different age groups.
Olhão (30 min drive) has an indoor Karting track inside the shopping centre. Great activity for the kids on a raining day.
For a pro experience you can book go karting at the Algarve International Circuit.
Book locally at Kiosk Fortuna prices start at €15 (12yrs+ 200cc) for 10 minutes. Group booking, paintball or buggy safaris are available upon request.
