Adega do Cantor

A winery co-owned by singer Sir Cliff Richard, who fell in love with the Algarve and decided to make his own wine there. It has stunning views of the coast and the vineyards, and a range of wines named Vida Nova and Onda Nova, meaning new life and new wave. The wines include reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines, made from local and international grapes. The winery offers tours and tastings by appointment.

Quinta da TĂŽr

A winery with a beautiful setting in the hills of Loulé, surrounded by cork trees and olive groves. It has a chilled atmosphere, where visitors can taste the wines and enjoy some tapas made with local products. The winery produces reds, whites and rosés from Portuguese grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Aragonez and Antão Vaz.

Quinta Do Canhoto

A small winery with passionate hosts Edgar and Joana, who inherited the land from their grandparents and decided to revive the wine tradition. The winery produces organic wines from local grapes such as Negra Mole, CastelĂŁo and Arinto, using natural methods and minimal intervention. The winery offers tours and tastings by reservation.

Quinta Do Frances Winery

A family-owned winery located in the Odelouca River Valley, with a stunning view of the Monchique mountains. It has a lovely tour that explains the wine-making process from the vineyard to the bottle, ending with a tasting of three wines paired with cheese and meat platters. The winery produces reds, whites and rosĂ©s from Portuguese and French grape varieties. 

Morgado do QuintĂŁo

A historic estate that dates back to 1530, when it was owned by the Count of Silves. Cabrita Wines – Quinta da Vinha

A family business that started in 1977, when José Cabrita planted his first vines in the Algarve. It has a fantastic afternoon tour and tasting, where visitors can walk through the vineyards, see the winery and the barrel room, and taste six wines accompanied by local snacks. The winery produces reds, whites and rosés from Portuguese and French grapes such as Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

Winery Convento do Paraiso

A winery that is part of a 16th century convent, where the monks used to make wine for their own consumption. It has a treasure of a guide, Vanessa, who shows visitors around the winery and tells them about the history and the legends of the place. The tasting takes place in a charming room in the convent, where visitors can try four wines paired with cheese, bread and jam. The winery produces reds and whites from Portuguese grapes such as Aragonez, Trincadeira and Arinto.

Quinta da Penina

A winery that is located in a wine-rich region between the Monchique mountains and Lagoa, with a history dating back to 1810. It has a nice location and tour, where visitors can see the vineyard, the chapel and the cellar, while learning about the wine-making process. The tour ends with a tasting of four wines, two whites and two reds, made from local grapes such as Negra Mole, Crato Branco and CastelĂŁo.
